Cedar Creek Champagne 2018

We bought our trailer new in December 2017 and the main door and screen door rub the awning when awning is extended. We had the awning lifted 1inch but did not solve the problem. Has anyone who has this 5th wheel had this issue.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. They make a roller attachment for doors that reduce the rubbing.

Yep ours rubs only when we lower the awning. When it is extended full up we don't have a problem. We have the CC Champagne 38EL 2018.

We are afraid it will wear the fabric out and there are 2 doors so you can not use a roller on both doors

:Yes you could put a roller on each door. You might try different adjustments with the awning and see if that makes a difference

Our 2018 33ik will rub if you lower the awning past half way. I usually lower the door side so it just clears and then lower the other end so any rain runs off. With the height of the fifth wheel we find the shade coverage from the awning to not be very good. We recently added a zip on screen extension that helps a lot

Our Cedar Creek is a 2015 Hathaway 36CKTS and neither of the doors come even close to the electric awning. But then we do not lower either end, find that the rain runs off the awning when out and provides enough shade without need to adjust either end lower when fully extended.

You simply need to raise the awning up. Lowering it will always cause problems. Been this way since the first awnings were installed on RVs.
