Central Vac just fell apart

Yep the vac just stopped working, I removed it and opened up the other side hoping for a reset button or broke wire ....but I find a square block loose inside...looks like a relay...and on the circuit board is the location it should be....has anyone else had a problem with the Dirt Devil vacs????

I do. After vacuuming for a while it stops running. Will start again after it cools off.

The previous owner of mine was using it without installing a bag. It was not functioning when I bought the trailer. I traced the problem to a bad relay board (comes all together). I think it was about $40.00 for a new board. Installed it and cleaned it out...good as new.

Google the model # for replacement parts.

CC Central vac stopped working

How old is your RV ? Dirt Devil Central Vac is warranted for five years. We just had to replace the same thing on our 2015 36CKTS. Call them and they will send you one and get you in touch with a tech to walk you through replacing it

Mine didn't work from the get-go. Dealer got a new one and I replaced it. Black Dirt Devil.

Red face Oaks - you're too lucky

My wife makes me do the vacuuming! (but I admit I do it while she is doing the weekly laundry).

P.S. Our vac has turned off a couple of times when the protective circuit breaker activated due to heat buildup. But it reset itself in a few minutes and worked fine.
