Charging the Battery While in Storage

When the trailer is in storage, many folks plug their trailer into a 110V receptacle and use the onboard battery maintainer to keep the battery(s) charged.

Question: In order to maintain the battery, should the master "RED" battery disconnect switch be turned ON or OFF while the unit is in storage and connected to a 110V receptacle?

Thanks......
