Are these stains recent or have they been there a long long time?

If they’re relatively fresh I use Totally Awesome cleaner properly diluted for whatever kind of roof material you might have....TPO, Rubber, Fibreglass. Make sure you really rinse well with lots of water.

If they’re years old.....you might never get it clean.

I too had roof stains from overhead trees but were fairly recent. I used a cleaner specifically made for my top material and used a soft bristle scrub brush on a long pole to get the top 80% clean. I then applied a UV protectant to seal it. I imagine that your older roof will not be returned to original luster but a big improvement. I imagine I'll be repeating this process every year.

Use this. Removed all the stains and made my roof look like new. Just a sponge and a bucket of water. Doesn't run down the side leaving streaks.

Then follow up with the conditioner by the same company.
