clogged shower

2nd trip this year, went to take a shower and the water did not drain. We had went for 8 days earlier this summer worked fine. I went under in the storage area, found a tee with a removable cap, took that off no drain water at the point. I can't see or know where the trap would be, I did remove the screen off the shower base. Poked a wire down a bit, maybe 3-4"s. Put some hot water down, finally drained down, slowly. Took my shower stood in maybe 1" for the most part. My question, can a person put like Drano down in the system, I would drain the grey tank as soon as I could get a good drain, what do you think??

I'm not sure if it is a hair buildup, basically because of the movement I got after the hot water, maybe something gummed/dried up to create a clog.
Thanks

Did you drain your grey after 8 days of use? Full tank?
The P trap is under the shower base.

Nice rig BTW. I looked at pics of your model, it doesn't appear to have an access panel in front of the shower pan. Is there a panel on either side of the shower outside of the bathroom?
Any CC owners able to help out here?

Looks like a tube with threaded compression nuts on each side

I don't have a 38FBD but looking at pictures and looking at the floor plan. It appears the shower ptrap would reside in the front storage compartment possible behind the black plastic that covers the electrical. You did not state you had a 38FBD but your profile states thats what you have.

Have you tried a plunger to dislodge whatever is blocking the pipe with the strainer grid removed.

Yes, and I believe its working pretty good now, not sure what was plugging it up though. I did not find anything that looks like a trap.
Thanks everyone for the advice.

You most likely have the trap that ejohnson posted.

The plumbing won't resemble conventional trap plumbing in that it won't have a "P" shape to it. It can also be vertical or horizontal.

I wouldn't put drano or any caustic or acid drain cleaners into RV drains.

Sometimes the rubber sleeve valve gets stuck closed from soap scrum.

that's what I was thinking, I think pouring hot water down helped.

Had this problem twice. Took a while trying various things and finally removed the strainer, put a hose in the drain and the resulting pressure cleared out whatever was causing the clog (hair would be my guess). Second time it happened, I went right to the hose and it cleared with no problem......
