condensation between panes on frameless windows

After RVing for three weeks we parked the 5er in the storage yard for a couple of weeks until last weekend. Now I find that one of the opening windows near the fridge and dining table has condensation in-between the two pieces of glass that form the frameless window. The dealer seems to think that because it 18 months old now we're going to be out of luck getting it fixed under the warranty. Anyone else experienced this problem with the frameless windows?

Can you tell if the 2 pains of glass are separating. Mine did that and I used a vacuum pump to get what air I could out of them, then sealed them up again with a silicone from a glass shop.

There are companies that will do an in-place repair on a thermopane window. They drill a small hole to the inside space, dry the moisture, then re-seal (including possibly removing from the frame and addressing the perimeter seal which is what failed in the first place). This one, by some amazing twist of fate, is in Calgary.

We considered doing that for a number of windows in our house but most of the wood frames were so toasted we decided to go for vinyl replacements.

The glass isn't separating, moisture just appears to have seeped in. Oddly enough, this has only become a problem since we rinsed the trailer off a few weeks back. I'm wondering if the water pressure from the hose force moisture into the seal.

Just got a call from the dealer this morning who stated that neither CC or the window manufacturer will cover the cost of replacing the condensation affected window. I'm leaving it over the winter now and will decide what to do about it in the spring.

First off I would call Cedar Creek and tell them, I would want to hear it from the horses mouth so to speak. Even if they won't pay for the fix they probably know of a company that will fix it. Cedar Creek has always treated me nice even if I pay for the fix. That's why when I trade camper's again it will be for a Cedar Creek.

I was planning on doing what you have suggested. Do you have any direct contact information I could use? My RV is with the dealer this week while they take a look at the defective electric front slide. While they have it there, if I can contact CC it may be advantageous.

The dealer is also suggesting the defect with the slide won't be covered by warranty if it is just a wiring fault (which I think it might be). I tried re-calibrating the slide motors but each time I still get the eight flashes on the control unit which indicates this type of fault.

Four of my small crank out windows has started to do this. Four months out of warranty. I love the dual pane windows BUT to go through this and the expense to get fixed and then they will probable do it again, I will probably not get them on any future RV. We all have to remember these things go down the road bouncing up, down, left, right, something is going to break.

We have a 2010 Cedar Creek with the dual panes and some of the small winos that opened started to fog, while at the FROG rally the windows in question were replaced with the new style window that is a just one large window that opens, will see how they hold up.
