I would assert that "Craig" is concerned primarily with the bottom line at Cedar Creek as opposed to the customer.

With about 90% of the RV industry controlled by 2 corporations it will be difficult to find exceptional customer service. I for one will pursue the minority in the future, because of experience.

On a assembly line it's hard to bring different stuff in, people have to be trained how to install stuff. It's not as easy as it seems. Different people want different stuff on there camper. I'm staying with Cedar Creek unless someone comes out with a huge window at rear of camper. I really want a Cedar Creek 36CKTS and a duality to pull camper with but DW says no and I am not going to lie and say I'm the boss

I have been driving trucks for 25 years. And know tire well. It is about rating not size.

E rated lowest for temp and wear weight
G rated are good for temp and wear weight
H rated are best for temp and weight.

Look for 17.5 H rated tires.

How do you like the 38EL? They say top of line. But I have seen a lot of stuff falling apart on units. And they went to cheap dinning table from previous year.

I like my unit a lot. Not sure which table you are considering new. Our rig was built in August of this year. It has the table that turns into a desk. We actually would prefer the "regular" table. There is not enough room to sit comfortably on the side near the door unless the table is rotated. We use stools at our table instead of the chairs. We found stools that are very comfortable and they work for us better than the chairs. Not what most would want but we are happy with our setup. We are not thrilled with the finish on the cabinets. There are parts that are covered with wood grain tape. If there is a nick the wood does not take stain to cover it up. As of now no real problems and we are very happy.

Thank you for you reply. I went to look at a 2017 model and it had a regular table not the one that turns. Just a pull out had a leaf one.

Have a 36CKTS. Am jealous of your axle/tire replacement, as it's a total piece of mind issue. However, I am now pretty comfortable with the OEM setup. I got the Joy Rider II system installed and that aligned my axles...which were out 3/4 of an inch from one side to the other. Another guy I know had his out 1 1/2". Those are bad alignments! That alone made the ride much smoother and should help the tires roll better and pull better. It is sort of a 'poor man's MorRyde IS system', at least in my mind.

That said, I am not for these Chinese tires either. BUT, there really hasn't been any (that I know of) reported problems with these specific Westlake 16" G rated tires. I certainly would NOT replace them with same, once they need replaced. But I can't justify the expense of doing what you're contemplating. Nonetheless, I wish I could, and I'm glad that you can, and if I could I'd do it.

I wish I had a 36CKTS but am a little old to trade again. I would like to install shocks on my trailer at least.

If you are going to upgrade tires make sure your rims and valve stems can handle the higher pressure.

What new floor plan? We are looking to purchase a 2017 Champange also. Is it a different model number than the 38EL?

Sorry I have not reported back sooner. I have bought new wheels and tires for now. The tires are commercial trailer tires. (Goodyear G114 215/75R17.5 Load Range H). I was not in a position to travel to Indiana for a while and wanted to take care of the tires now. I did not find anything negative about the Westlake tires and would probably have kept them for a while if I had not wanted to change to H Load tires. I will revisit the suspension issue in the spring.
