Creek back from Repairs

Hey everyone,

Been going to update you all since my Creek damage in Key Largo.

Anyway I dropped it off at Amish Family RV. I can’t say enough about the service. Orvan, JoLisa, Amanda just made me feel part of the process.

Needless to say I’m very pleased! It would take too long to talk about the accident repair, warranty repairs, and upgrades accomplished. But they are quality on steroids and just fine folks. I would work for him for free just for the education. AND most of all they got it back to me in time to prepare for a week on Kelly’s Island with my whole family and that’s just something that probably wouldn’t have happened at any dealer. I’m just in their debt that this important vacation was not scuttled because of the accident.

Also Progressive was right there with me dealing with the accident and also my insurance brokers who my wife and I have been with since 1982.

Finally Cedar Creek - in large part I bought this Coach because of the construction method, and reputation of Cedar Creek to take care of the problems. I will take my Coach back in late October for the final warranty inspection. They approved all the repairs and Orvan was able to get all the parts needed.

I’ve owned nothing but Forest River products since we started camping. All of them, 2 pop ups, 1 Hybrid, and a Class C Sunseeker were very good and really made a lot of good memories.

My heart felt thanks to all above and especially to Orvan and his team so cool!Click image for larger version

Two things I need to bring up however for all to watch for, there’s apparently a recall on a valve in back of the residential refrigerator. Sounds like something that’s needs replaced and mine was done.

Also I had a defective grey tank, I don’t know how many units that effects but I know Orvan fixed or replaced the tank and replumbed it. If it leaking on the 34Ik you will see it on the right side not too far from the water heater.

I highly recommend his upgrades of the slides. Peace.

We have a 2016 33IK. Have had it to Orvan. Great service. We have had a holding tank smell issue for quite a while. When at Orvan’s we thought it was fixed but still occasionally have the smell. What year is your 34IK? Is this a known problem or just on your unit?

I don’t know the answer for sure to that question. I don’t think they are related.

You probably know this but I’ll ask anyway, I had a smell in my Sunseeker and realized I couldn’t shouldn’t leave the valve to any of the tanks open to the sewer while camping. I was getting the sewer gas coming up through probably the toilet when flushing. So I wait to dump now when a grey tank gets full.

Orvan is the Greatest!

We picked our 2019 up from Couch's and then drove straight to Orvan….we hadn't spent any time in it...he still fixed things we didn't know about.

Orvan's Dad was very fun to talk to!!

It’s actually not a refrigerator recall, I think it is something Forest River added.
