Custom or Full Body Paint ???

We are going to order a Cedar Creek later this year and really like the look of the full body paint. Anyone with the custom or full body paint that would care to comment on the good or bad. What are your experiences with the paint? Would you get it again?

Had the custom on my '12 36CKTS. Looked great from 20' away and matched my F-350.
Lots of overspray, sloppy tape job - especially around the docking light pucks. Orange peel on the rear, cracking (checking) on the front cap up high near both corners. My opine, stay white or tinted fiberglass. The paint is a waste of $'s. White is more energy efficient for the A/C as well. Also, the vinyl graphics don't hold up (not as bad as Montana's though)

Full body paint is easy to care for compared to gel coat IMHO. Mine is a 2011 and still looks new, but it should have a wax job every year to keep up the finish.

i would go with the option. Mine is a 2012 and still looks new. The finish on mine is beautiful.

I sure wish I had spent the extra money for the full body paint. After less than two years I am dealing with an oxidized front and back cap that is looking terrible. Already had the Cedar Creek warranty "fix" of sanding, buffing,sealing and after only two months it started to oxidize again. Get the full body paint and wax once a year.

You mat want to contact Cedar Creek about the trailer colors that are going to be offered in the future? It seems that the SilverBack units are transitioning from the Beige end caps to an ALL WHITE end cap with a different logo. See attached link with the end cap picture at the bottom.

This may change your mind on painting or not, it is a $7000+ option over the regular price of a Hathaway Edition and the Pearl Edition Exterior Packages.

I have the full body paint on my Cardinal and very happy that we did it. No oxidation or decal fading/peeling. Much easier to take care of. I wash the RV with Murphy's Oil Soap and unit still shines like it is new. We winter in Fl. for 4 months and RV bakes in the sun, no shade, with no ill effects. I was apprehensive about getting it but it was well worth the $10K option. My paint job is first class , no runs, orange peel or cracking. You won't be sorry.

We made the choice to go with the full body paint on our 2015 Cedar Creek in the Champagne color option. So glad we did! Apparently C.C. has changed their paint vendor (for the better) from previous years. Did have some small blems but was inspected at FROG Rally and is being taken care of. If it's your dream coach, go for it!

Full body paint adds a lot of load to the air conditioner. You'll find several threads for all RV classes complaining about A/C not keeping up. Consider where you will be camping. Northern states with shade? Southwest, 100 F and never any shade? Southeast coast, 95 F and high humidity?

Wonder if the Full Body Paint Trailers have less issues with delamination/fading like I have been seeing with many fiberglass/vinyl decal trailers.

if the appearance and up keep is easier I'd go with it. I wash mine at least 1x a month and wax maybe 2x a year to keep it looking new.

My Cardinal full paint is the Garnet which is very dark. We spent 1 week in Moab, Utah with 108 degree temps and very little shade and unit was comfortable. We ran both AC's to cool unit down when we arrived and then only ran the rear AC and kept the RV around 78.
