Odd.
I took all that hose and stored it in the garage (at home). We got a real vacuum, a Shark, and keep it in the closet where the original hose was. Once that hose expands, it won't ever retract again. And to use that thing, you have to get into basement, remove a bunch of stuff in the way, slide back that panel, open up the Central Vac, empty it out.......no thanks. We'll stick to conventional vacuums.
