Dish 211Z Upgrade

We currently have the hopper at home and then a 211Z in the trailer. There is really no comparison between the hopper and the 211

So I was thinking about upgrading to say the 722 or taking the hopper with me BUT, when I call dish they say nothing can be done except the 211. I think they are full of it.

I am using the Winegard Trav'ler antenna.

Have any of y'all hooked up a different receiver and what luck have you had?

Dish 211Z Upgrade

Unless you use a manual dish, the hopper will not work with an automatic dish , sorry.

211Z is the only receiver our Tailgater will work with.

The Trav'ler is in reality a manual (Dish 1000) dish with an electronic pointer. Once it locks into the 3 satellites it does not move. I agree that the tailgater style systems wouldn't work.

Go ahead and use the Hopper, I've been using it for about three years with the Dish 1000 and have no problems. All I did was hook it up and we're watching TV. Dish will tell you something different, but don't listen to them, they want you to pay for a second account
