Do I really need a slider?

So, I am shopping for a hitch to pull my new 33IK and have settled on a Trailersaver BD3, my question is do I need a slider. I am towing with a 2015 2500 HD Chev the box is 78.8 inches ( 6 1/2 ft) any input from those of you with this unit would be greatly appreciated.

Better to have it and not need it than
to need it and not have it
i had a super glide in my 6.5 bed
and used it all the time turning around in the side yard

I would also go with the slider. Been pulling 5th wheels for over 20 years and maybe used it 4 times. But I was sure glad I had it then.

Question, I don't have a truck or fifrh wheel. Don't know anything about towing such but want to learn since it could be in our future. What exactly is a slider and how does it help in certain situations?
Thanks.

We have a 2006 2500 Silverado and a slider was necessary for the crew cab. We recently purchased a TT and have our Super Glide complete system for sale at $400. I Live in N.California
