Docking Station Port Hole
Getting the Silverback 35QB4 ready for its first trip next weekend (well, first camping trip - I have a new respect for long haul truck drivers after hauling a## for 3200 miles (5200 kilometres) last week from Iowa back to Alberta in 72 hours...but I digress!
My question is this - what innovations/solutions have you guys and gals come up with to prevent rodents/other undesirables from entering into the docking station when parked at a campsite i.e.. what have you designed to block the port hole through which your water and cable lines come into the docking station?
If you could kindly share your ideas/designs, it would be greatly appreciated so that I do not have to redesign the wheel!
Thanks all in advance!

Steel Wool wedged around the water hose. I've only had our Silverback for a month so I can't guarantee this works.

Docking Station Port Hole
I like the steel wool idea, but where the heck
do you find a piece large enough?

I use a plastic lid, with a hole in the center and a slit. That way you can slide it around your water line, and push it into the port hole diameter. ( lid from chocolate milk mix )

You can get steel wool at most hardware stores, but I like the idea of the swim noodle also. I already have swim noodles on the corners of the bedroom slideout to prevent major head knocking.

Have to remember to go out to the pool house this afternoon and cut me a couple of inches off a noodle. I know we have one of the larger ones, because grandma and grandpa are not skinny people.

Instead of steel wool, which can rust, I use a couple pieces of copper wool. Found it in the kitchen aisle at grocery store by the sponges.

We went to West Marine, bought an extra port hole cover, drilled a 1" hole in one side, cut the threads out next to it and put the hose & cable through our little hole and screwed the cover in place. walla! not rodents!
