Furrion Camera

While in Goshen this year (2016), I bought the Furrion OBSERVATION Camera. It was $299.00 at the show. It works flawlessly on my 2014 34RLSA. I have it hooked to my running lights so that I can monitor traffic behind me while underway or changing lanes or backing. While speaking with the Manager of the electronics division of FR, I learned that earlier models were not "stout" enough and did exhibit transmission/reception problems. He said they have new circuitry that solves those problems.
This new system works so well, I bought a second for my business trailer. It also works flawlessly.

Furrion backup camera...it works!

My wife and I are into the second week of ownership of a 2017 Cedar Creek Hathaway Edition. At first the Furrion backup camera did not seem to work. The included paper instructions were very poor, to say the least. I went to the Furrion website and downloaded their simple instructions. For us, the secret to get a satisfactory pairing and subsequent rearview picture on the monitor was to make sure the trailer's running lights were turned on from the truck's headlight / parking lights control knob. When I walked to the back of the 5th wheel, I could see that a blue LED had illuminated, indicating that the camera was receiving power and was paired with the monitor. It wasn't until I engaged the headlights/parking lights that the camera received power.

The only thing I don't like about mine is the sensitivity at night. I have to back mine down the street at home. The glare from my brake lights made it nearly impossible to make out the edge of the road. Once I got it into the driveway, it wasn't a big deal. Most likely it was because I got closer to a privacy fence and it reflected light back. I may try to angle the camera a little farther back and see if that helps, but I normally don't come home after dark. Other than that, it works great.

I used mine to back into a site a week ago. There was no light and no moon visible. I was able to see the DW without anything but the camera illumination LEDs. Using a 3 Dcell mag lite and Cree LED bulb I saw everything including trees. I am quite happy with the in motion version of the furion camera.

I agree. The night vision is really good (just too good in my case). I just think my camera is pointed a little too far downward. While I could see behind me fine, I just couldn't make out edges of the road very well when I hit the brakes.

I have a 2017 silverback and I put the Furrion camera on the back of my 5th wheel and it works great. Going down the road I can what is going on behind me. It also helps when I back into a camping site.

Mine works flawlessly after I learned it had to be 'paired'!!! LOL

I just wish the monitor was bigger.

I do want a Voyager. Maybe one year.

I installed mine about 6 months ago, bought from Amazon. Works flawlessly, never dropped the signal, never a flicker.

Installed one on my 35 foot TT and it works well as a rear view camera while on the road. Really helps when you have to change lanes.

Mine works but I hardly ever use it, DW is a much better back up camera. I have a 7in Garmin on the dash, a TPMS on the windshield, I have a dash cam under the mirror.

Anyone know who makes the Voyager camera system? We bought our 2915 CC used. The dealer touted the backup camera system. We should have taken closer look at the components before we took delivery. We have a Voyager camera and a Furrion monitor that do not talk to each other. We are wondering if we can buy the monitor only.

I ordered a Rockwood 2905ws and it has the Furrion bracket. Can I mount a Voyager in its place? I don't really want to hack a new trailer, so will it fit as a direct replacement. It comes with camera ready option only. I was going to get Furrion FOS48TA-BL
Wireless High-Speed Observation System. (For high-speed observation and backup use). Any issues with that one?
