We have Dometic A/C unit that starts up immediately after shutting down. Cycling. If I remove our intake filter foam it seems to work fine. I have washed it out but still does same thing. Does anyone else have this problem and is there a less restrictive filter availible?
Could it be that it's switching fan speeds? On some units if the fan is in auto, it will stop for a few seconds when it's either nearing or drifting away from setpoint and switch speeds.
Also check the freeze coil and make sure it's against the evaporator fins.
When it shuts down pull the filter off quickly and see if there's frost on the evaporator.

If starting a ducted AC for the first time after arriving at the campground in a hot humid environment, it is best to open the dump valve to allow for maximum air flow to prevent freezing. Once the inside temp and humidity are decreased, you can close the dump valve and it will operate fine.

I have the dual zone t-stat in our CC 34IK which was short cycling. Dometic said that's how they're supposed to work. After digging around on the Dometic site I found the installation manual for our 15k btu unit which along includes the user manual for the t-stats. After being told there was no offset adjustment I found, in the manual of all places, the instructions for adjusting the setback or dead band.
See if you can find your unit manual online and follow the instructions to set your offset to 2°F instead of 1°F and I bet it will quit cycling. Mine did.
