Dometic programable thermostat quit.

Use the AC until a cold front came through and now I cannot get the furnace or AC to work. Only a blank screen. No temp or mode displayed and only can set the clock. Any suggestions before I take 33IK in for repair?

Is it battery operated? The ones found in your house are most often. Maybe the battery died.

My thermostat had a similar problem and I turned off the breaker and it reset. You may try that. I completely disconnected the trailer first and that didn't work so I then hooked back up then turned off the breaker to just the ac and it started working. Hopefully you will have the same results.

Which thermostat do you have?
Is it single zone or multi-zone?

Most of them are powered by 12 volts. So in order to remove power to it, you'll have to unplug from shore power AND disconnect the battery (turn off the disconnect switch).

My Dometic thermostat is attached to a base plate on the camper wall. the wiring is attached to the base plate. Just snap the stat off the base, wait a moment, reattach. It's a whole lot faster and easier that dealing with the battery disconnect and unplugging.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Understand to try the Master Reset technique for electronic devices. Will try tomorrow. Yes it is battery operated but RV battery is good. It is a two zone thermostat, one for living room and one for the bedroom. I do have two ACs.

Master Reset technique is to remove all power for at least 10 seconds. Works on PCs and the Dish Receivers.

Thanks for the Info

Tried the Master Reset (Turned of AC and DC) and now my programmable thermostat works as it should. Thank you to all of your suggestions.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know that you got it fixed.

Glad it was as simple as a power cycle.
