Drink holder for Lazy boys

Been struggling with an idea to hold drinks when sitting at our side by side lazy boy recliners. Here's what I came up with. Click image for larger version

That looks cool!! We have been looking for something like this. Can you give more info as where you found it or did you build it? If you built it any information would be helpful

I made it. It is built out of solid maple. I have attached a photo to help see the design. It simply sits on the carpet. The bottom is "U" shaped to help grip carpet. It is quite sturdy and should not move during transport.

Doug, that piece looks great. I had the same issue and here's what I came up with. It slides between the recliners. I seem to be a little short on skill and tools after looking at yours. Nice job.

In our case, the left recliner is close enough to the dining table that I just set my drink there. All we needed then was a solution for right recliner and for each end of the sofa that sits under the rear view window (this is a 5er with a couch at the back, Entertainment slide couch right and recliners couch left).

Just went on Amazon and bought three of these wall mounts. With the combo of short screws and adhesive they are solid to the wall and don't interfere with the slides (even if I forget to close them).

It's really something you don't think about when looking at 5th wheels until you use it a bit. It had me wishing I got the theater seating. Now with this addition I'm back to be happier with the lazy boy recliners. Last year I built a wine rack on the end of the island as well. Now the wife is asking for some custom drawers in bedroom between front closet and dresser and some drawers in bathroom.

We have two recliners as well but theater seating will be a must have on the list when we purchase the next rig !!

Our new CCRL2 has power theater seating and the drink holders are worthless! They are shallow (which is made worse by a "2 size" bottom) and are not level. Can you say setting a glass of wine down on the roof of your house as an illustration! We also find them not very comfy to sit in as the seat backs are still inclined aft when in the full UP position putting a strain on my back and neck.

After our last trip we experimented with some boards to shim or raise the back base of the seats for a more comfortable seating position and to get the beverage holders level. 2 3/4" (a 2x4 topped with a "5/4" in. bull nose decking board) is what it took to get it close to where it needs to be. It will get done when I can imagineer the best way to raise the back base.

I have 2 of these folding cup holders, one for each chair in the cockpit of my motor home. WORTHLESS!!! They aren't study enough to hold a Yeti 30 oz mug. Dumped a whole mug of hot coffee on the floor. I've been looking for console like fixture with 2 sturdy cup holders to mount on the floor between the captains chairs.
