She already did, see post #16.

Judy... Have you located the circuit breakers yet? Have you tried to reset them? Like myself and others have stated, your problem sounds like it's on the 110v ac portion of your electric system. Nothing indicates a bad converter from what you have posted. I hope you get this resolved and please let us know the outcome so we can all quit guessing

emergency help answer

For those of you that want to know where my particular converter is located it is next to the electrical panel under the rear closet and also next to the hot water heater area at the very back of the trailer but pretty much hidden behind boards. And if you keep questioning everything like I don't know a thing (If it is electrical, I don't) I am just doing what my friend and RV electrical specialist tells me to do till he gets back in town on Jan. 3rd.

Judy, the concern is that you may not need a converter, as you have TWO different electrical systems in your RV.

One system is a 120 volt AC (like in a regular house) and the other system is a 12 volt DC system (like in a vehicle)

You have some items that work off of 120 volt AC and others that work only off of 12 volt DC.

When you say you have no electrical, that doesn't tell us if its the 120 volt AC OR if it's the 12 volt DC parts...or both.

If both, then the converter will not fix all of your troubles. That's what your fellow members/campers are trying to ascertain.

Please read this link below as it explains your different electrical systems, as well as just what exactly the converter does.

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...nt-152813.html

Then maybe you can tell us EXACTLY just what all does NOT work in your RV...and we can help you determine if it's an incoming 120 volt AC problem...which it may highly be (and not a converter one). If the trouble lies within the 120 AC shore power, then the items that work only on that system will not function...but your 12 volt DC items will work off the battery alone until it depletes, then they will quit working too. The converter recharges the battery but cannot if you have no incoming 120 volt AC....so it is affected also by 120 volt AC...which is what your friends here are trying to ascertain.

Thanks

I sure hope Judy comes back and tells us what her "RV electrical specialist" has found to be the problem. It's been a long time to be fighting an electrical issue, especially in cold weather.

Post #16 has nothing in it that addresses my post.

Post #16 says she found the converter and ordered a replacement. It does not say that it was the problem. Later she says her tech would be back on the 3rd to install it and troubleshoot. From what I read we still don't know what the problem was or if she ever tried resetting the breakers.

I vaguely remember the OP posting a call for help back in the latter part of 2017 for a "No Heat" condition. As always, the forum attempted help her, but in the end the reply was that her tech was taking care of it, so never mind. Regardless, we wish her well!

Must be somebody else. The only post she made before this thread, was back in 2015 when she asked about the size of her trailer.

re-subscribed (accidentally hit un-subscribe). Any other way to subscribe to a thread?

Don't you just hate it when the OP never comes back and tells you what their expert found to be the problem? Not looking for a "Thanks Everyone for your suggestions" but maybe "Found the problem and this is what it was"
