Maybe if you cool bland foods like mashed potatoes, patched eggs, and steamed broccoli. [emoji1785]

My wife could burn water.

When she cooks, sometimes there's so much smoke, the neighbors smoke alarm goes off.

My 5er doesn't have a fan vented to the outside either but I do have a powered ceiling vent in the ceiling above the stove. It runs on a thermostat. I use it in conjunction with the stove vent. We still have the food smells in the trailer afterwards tho".

This thread and comments reminded me of a situation that happened to us a few years back.

We were camping at Fort Wilderness over Father's Day week and on Father's Day, my darling bride wanted to make me breakfast. So she got up early and started cooking. Well....smoke detector (which was right at the door) went off. The neighbor next door was a firefighter, heard the smoke alarm and did what firefighters do.....jumped out of bed in his jammies and ran over to our camper. Embarrassing for the Mrs who was trying to do good.

Needless to say, I don't think she has made breakfast in the camper since.

I have installed a hundred or so microwaves and I've never seen one that doesn't have the option to vent up or out the back. You just need to find an rv vent kit and install a wall vent. You will obviously have to take down your microwave to spin the motor to vent out the back. Hopefully you have the template with the owner's manual. It's a fairly easy job.

A Cedar Creek with a built in microwave vents to the outside of the directly behind the microwave. Probably not hooked up correctly.

When we purchased our Cedar Creek, it didn't have a vent going to the outside for the Microwave/convection oven. I called the factory and they sent the parts to our dealer and he put it in for us, no charge.

Check out the OP’s pic in his signature. His RV does not have an exhaust vent.

Vente veritas

I have a vent. Open for camping closed to keep critters and rain out when traveling or stored. With some cooking I open a window and turn on the bath vent. It pulls a lot of air.

Because my cover is SO HARD to latch & unlatch, when I un latched it 4 years ago, I left it that way. No problems, no rodents or bugs come in. If it is a real bad storm, sometimes I can feel a breeze come in. I don't feel any cold air coming in during the winter. ( I have wintered to 7 degrees above 0.)

On our Flagstaff micro lite 21DS the fan is controlled with a toggle switch to a 12VDC 3.0amp can motor. I'm wondering if it might be possible to replace the switch with something that I could control the speed, right now it's off or full, very loud.

Reading this thread gave me the idea so I have not done any home work, but thought someone might have blazed this trail before me.

This one is rated for 4.2 amp but you can probably find any number of dimmer switches at any auto parts store.

My Cedar Creek had a microwave blower that blew into the camper. I got the vent kit and cut through my camper and changed blower direction on the microwave. Don't cut deep. I found a 120 VAC wire running smack through the middle of the hole! Fortunately, there was enough slack in the wire to push it to one side. Then, we quit full timing and bought a house. Yup, you guessed it. Another stinkin' microwave that blew cooking smoke at the ceiling. I had to run duct up and about 6 feet to the side to get outside.

This is a PWM dimmer which is what you want. Many people put in smaller PWM controls and small knobs. You can pick them up on eBay.

Ours did the same. Removed the unit from the wall and flipped the plate on the back so it vent out the rear to the outside. Two screws on the top and it lifts off the wall. There are instructions for changing the venting it your owners book
