You didn't mention what truck you have or what size tank. My f150 had the little 23 gallon tank. I upgraded to to the oem 36 gallon and it is so much better.

Depends on the truck. Diesel, the simple way is to add an in bed tank with a gravity feed kit. Legal in U.S. but not in Canada. Gas truck..change the original fuel tank for a larger one if you can..not any other options for gas.

I had a welding shop build me one, I installed a 8 gpm 12 volt pump. It's 100gal tank, I have had it for 9 years. My Silverado holds 36gal. It's diesel

Oh I forgot to add my complete tank sits below the top of the bed. You can find them at Tractor Supply and Titan makes them. I think I paid like 800 bucks for my system. I had a cover on my bed at one time and I had the tank in a short bed truck and I had the corners cut out so the tank would sit flat. My truck and camper hooked up has never been in a gas station. When DW and I stop at a rest area, we can use the bathroom in the camper, get something to eat and fill up the truck in about 15 minutes and be back on the road. When we stop for the night I take the truck and find the cheapest diesel and fill up then. Sometimes we stay hooked up but we can drive for two days without fueling up. At home the tank is easy to take out and hitch too so I can have a clean bed. I have a long bed truck now

I have a Transfer Flow 50 gallon in the bed of the truck. I have an eight ft box. It fits under the tonneau cover. In-Bed Fuel Tanks - Transfer Flow, Inc. - Aftermarket Fuel Tank Systems. It has the computer but an older model than the one shown on the url. I had it installed so it wasn't exactly cheap but I can go a long way pulling a 35 ft 5er.

Way back in the day, my father had a 50 gallon aluminum tank with a 12V electric pump built that could fit between the seats on his little 12' skiff that he would use to bring gas out to his larger boat on the mooring. He no longer does this but still has the tank. He lets me use it whenever I want.

Where did you get the tank and how much was it? Was it a DIY project? I'm in the same boat and while I'll likely never travel more that 180 or so miles between stops, it would be nice to have the breathing room.

There is also a diesel auxiliary tank that takes the place of the spare tire which will hold 30 gallons. This also does not take up any bed space in your truck. Here is a link to the tank: https://titanfueltanks.com/product-category/stafs/

I looked at the website, that's a lot more than I paid. The fuel meter looked nice

You have to be careful about the use of auxiliary fuel tanks from a liability issue. If you are in an accident, and they do happen, and the fuel tank ruptures who gets the blame? Who pays for hazmat cleanup? When I worked for a truck equipment dealer we sold several types of aux tanks. They were all DOT approved and type tested. Although Transfer Flow is not cheap they are by far the best on the market.

They can all get punctured , what's your point buy the most expensive. I would think my insurance would pay for the clean up, suppose there was no fuel in the tank. I have been using my for nine years and no problems. Well I did have a leak last year but I got that fixed

I got the tank pump and heat shield from a local dealer. They matched the best price I could find online minus the shipping. I did the install myself.

RDS fuel & tool box combo. All aluminum construction. Below the rail and can be simple gravity feed or electric pump. Advertised as a 91 gal but 88 is all I see out of it. Wouldn't tow without it.

Just installed a 50 gal Titan tank on my F350 replacing the 26 gallon that came with the truck.....LOVE IT!! We are finishing up our month long trip south and not once did I have to stop for fuel at a truck stop which we all know charge .20-.40 cent/gal over a station in town.

Why Ford would put a 26 gallon tank on any Super Duty is beyond imagination.

Mine has a 35 gallon tank per the manual, the Titan 50 gallon tank would be a bonus...

There have been quite a few reports of water in fuel causing expensive damage to high pressure fuel pumps/injectors with aux fuel tanks.

If you have to get one, please spend the 700-$800 for an aftermarket fuel filter system that does a better job filtering and separating water, ESPECIALLY if you own a Ford 6.7L.
