Factory Rear View Camera

Does anyone know what model the factory installed rear view camera is on a 36CKTS? Furrion? Voyager?

Reason asking is the dealer told me the unit is prewired for the Furrion. Want to make sure. When negotiating the deal we discussed the Voyager camera system. I guess I'm ok with either one.

The problem is the Furrion is constantly loosing the signal from the camera. So much so that it's unusable. Does anyone else have this problem?

That's what I thought, but the dealer insists prewired for the Furrion.

i definitely got a leaflet with mine letting me know it was pre-wired for the voyager and when I mentioned it on one of these forums I then got a reply from the rep letting me know it was pre wired for the voyager MVO511.

If I knew how to do it on a Mac, I'd give you the link to the answer I did get.

My CC has a small white cap on the back of the rig just below the center high level light. When I get around to purchasing a rear view camera I imagine all I do is remove this cap and feed the wires from the camera to the connectors I believe are concealed behind the cap and connected to the power wires for the lights. It should then just be a case of attaching the camera support bracket, adjusting the view and finally making the wi-fi connection to the monitor inside the truck. If I recall correctly, the camera system was about U$700 from camping world. I'd certainly like to purchase one but might have to wait until next year and hopefully an improvement on the C$ vs the U$.

Our Silverback came with a Voyager WAOM562 and it is nothing but a mirror and everything is backward. Don't get one of these.

Furrion is making a big push into the OEM RV world and so may have offered a better deal to pre-install the cables than Voyager was doing. The VIN number and call to the factory or a look through all the paper work is the only way to solve the question.

34' Cedar Creek. F250 SUPER Duty. Furrion was worthless lost signal all the time. Made dealer change it, they installed the voyager after 2 furrions. Voyager works great leaving tomorrow for Florida.

Thanks CCreek. That is exactly what I'm trying to do now, have the dealer replace the Furion with a Voyager. I even offered to pay the difference in cost between the two units.

The saga continues.

Purchased A Furrion in Goshen at the last rally. I also found it to be worthless as it kept loosing signal and doing freeze frames. Called company and asked for a RMA and got my money back.

We just drove 600 miles with the voyager rear view. Works great, did loose the signal occasionally. One of the reasons the dealer replaced ours was I had in my contact to install a good backup camera in the deal. I didn't choose the camera the dealer did. I did not discuss the price of the camera it was suppose to work suitably and as you know the furrions just about never have a signal.

I have a CC 38CK. The wiring is pre-installed to provide power only to the wireless receiver in the truck. My camera keeps loosing the signal, so i contacted the dealer that installed the camera. It was suggested to use the suction cup mount for the screen high up on the windshield, as the signal might be blocked by the height of the 5th wheel. I will try this in the spring, but I anticipate that I will need to change out the set-up.

Factory Rear View Camera

I have the Voyager WVOS511 wireless system. It worked fairly well on my 35' long Cardinal. It just got worse on my 36CKTS Cedar Creek. The screen would lock up or show no signal quite frequently. I called RV Cams and purchased a 35' extension cable which allowed me to mount the camera antenna on the top of the front cap. This totally solved my problem.

A friend of my totaled his 2014 36CKTS last October days after installing the same Voyager system. He took delivery of his 2015 36 CKTS last Friday with the factory installed rear view camera. When I asked how the camera system worked. His reply was not good. He will be installing his antenna extension cable on the new trailer.

DH installed the Voyager 713 on our 2014 36CKTS. It has a great picture and we have not ever lost signal. The only problem we had was FINDING the wires to install it, (they were hiding under all the insulation).

Looks like FR just switched to Furrion from Voyager on the latest 2015's. I just bought a new Wildc at and it came with a Furrion installed. That's also what's showing in the latest version of the Wildcat brochure.
