Found out today I had a bad disease!!!!

I got camping disease that's when you trade your camper before the warranty expires on the one you have now. DW said she was not even going to look at another camper anything soon. I'm looking at a Montana 3160, there just is no cure for this disease, 3 campers in 3 years, now maybe 4 in 3 years. Isn't life fun

Yup, been there done that. I went out for some antifreeze and came back with a new TT. We used it two nights before putting it away for the winter. Four months after my DW saw the 5er. At the time we didn't have anything to pull it with but due to an unfortunate (or fortunate depending on your point of view) we ended up buying a dually. Inevitably, this open up the opportunity to buy the 5er and here we are. No regrets, just a much bigger set of inheritance debt the kids will owe when we pop our clogs

Camping disease is bad. There is no cure. Going to RV shows and looking at trailers on dealership lots when stopping by for something else generally aggravate the condition. Sometimes visiting inside someone else's camper can aggravate the condition. On rare occasions and usually only for about a year or two can seeing the inside of other campers calm the disease. This temporary treatment only occurs while your rig is relatively new, problem free and your floor plan works for you and your family. The other temporary cure for Camping disease is buying a new camper, typically one with more bells and whistles and a larger floor plan (until a point and then the need for smaller campers starts). Camping disease is often associated with new truckitis. New truckitis is usually only fixed with a newer and larger truck than your current model and will often aggravate camping disease. The problem is the cure for camping disease will often aggravate new truckitis. This is a very cyclic disease with no permanent cure. Unfortunately, the worst side effect of a very bad case of camping disease (aka new camperitis) and new truckitis is empty wallet syndrome. Good luck and may your new treatment find you a longer fix.

I just sold my boat and I have a bad case of Sprinteritus. Can't seem to get them out of my mind. I point them out to my wife every time I see one. Since she doesn't even acknowledge that I said anything, I think I'm going to have to suffer.

Yep, sounds like us, we change about every 4 years! I keep my camper in mint condition so when we are ready to sell someone we know always wants to buy it.

Yep I fit right in with all of you , hadn't even gotten home with the new 5fr and I was already looking on line at new ones lol so you all are not alone . The DW will not even let me out of the house any more

My name is D_B Travelers, and I am also a truckoholic and a camperholic. I haven't been able to locate counseling centers yet, and my DW is also afflicted. Our first downfall happened 1-1/2 years ago when we purchased a Windjammer. Love it still, but yearning for a 5er and bigger TV is all consuming. I think we will be able to provide a temporary cure in about another two years. Until then, we will suffer on best we can.

Yup, another x999. A few years ago, at a much younger age and a new wife, we quickly graduated from a tent, to a popup, to a 23' TT, to a 37' 5W. All in two years. We are still having fun.

Well, I'm the other end of the scale. NEVER buy new, always pick up private sale on you guys barely used stuff with all the bugs out of it☺️

Hmmm........The Bride seems to be a pool-a-holic. She is always saying we need a big, in-ground, salt water pool at the house. A mere 50K. I said "You can go back to work to earn the money for it while I travel around in the camper."

i have done the same thing with our F150 Ecoboost.
i tried to sneak in a new 2015 for our 13 after trading the 11 in 13.

DW says no more trades unless she trades me in for a newer model.

It's a darn fine thing that our kids don't actually inherit our debt unless they want to keep our toys once we are gone!

We our on our third fiver in eight years. Went from a 30 foot one slide to a 35 foot three slides to the current one which is 37 feet and has three slides.

We also had a Keystone product and when we started looking for a replacement 5er, I would not even consider a new Keystone product as a replacement.
