Front Cap Protection

Does anyone have a good way to protect the front cap of the fifth wheel against flying objects?

Lots of wax so they slide right off!

Depends on what kind of flying object you're talking about. For bugs, they do make some sort of disposable stuff that sticks on the front. Some were using that on the Tiffin forum. Supposedly put it on, get where you're going, peel it off. Not worth the effort in my opinion. Not to mention your rig looks like crap with it on there. As Todouble mentioned, wax. We put Mary Moppins Advantage on the front prior to transit, but any wax of your choice works good.

Now if you're talking about kids throwing bricks, birds as dave mentioned, or any other object flying through the air, probably not much you can do about that besides leave the rig home, or find a new hobby. A well used rig is gonna get its beauty marks.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.

If you're talking about road debris (fod), the only thing that may help is an air foil/wind deflector on the roof of your TV. If you're talking about insects, just park in my driveway for a week and the frogs will clean it for you. Or, a pressure washer will blast the little critters off if you're in a hurry.

CW sells a deflector for about $350. however it does not appear to be very aerodynamic.

let the bugs hit and smash, then use a dryer softener towel and they will come right off. the kind of toss in you put in the dryer to soften clothes. Works on the front of the tv also
