Frustrated with tv Reception
We have a Cedar Creek 34RL and love it but we have issues with the King antenna, it will not pick up any channels, we have tried it at many campgrounds and no luck. Plus the booster we have will not stay on, we push the button and the green light will come on as long as we are pushing the button in but as soon as we let go of it no light anymore and also we bought a Dish cable tailgater and that won’t work unless we hook it up directly to the TV and bypass the cable hook up on the camper. Very frustrated! Any suggestions

Sounds like a wiring problem inside the camper. Sorry, can't help much more than that. Others will know more. Good luck.

It sounds to me like the King jack wall jack may be defective, you should be able to push the button and have the light stay on. But this may be caused by defective wiring causing the jack panel to overload and shut off.
I would start by taking the wall jack off and checking the connection behind it. If that is not the problem you may have to start tracking the coax wiring. Big box stores like Lowes and such sell a coax tracker and tester that will tell you if the coax is bad.

Definitely something wrong with the wall plate/switch/power injector (for the amplified antenna) if the LED won't stay on. I'd start there. Are you pushing the little button far enough for it to latch?
As for the satellite... if you are connecting outside to the CABLE port you'll never get it to work as most all cable ports go to the wall plate as well as other televisions (if equipped) and have splitters installed in the circuitry.
A satellite has to have a 'home run' coax back to the receiver, meaning nothing else in the line. No splitters and no wall power injectors. That's why it works when you use a separate coax.
Many R/Vs have a SATELLITE port outside that is just that, a 'home run' coax to the inside near the entertainment center. Does you R/V not have this?

Also, we have a 34IK and so far I have found 3 bad/broken cable ends going here and there. I've replaced 1 short cable from signal amp splitter to TV. Opened panel inside "wet bay" and tightened the 3 cable ends there. All very loose.
I can almost never get any reception on cable. Only 2-3 channels and a lot of snow. No idea what else is going on. Will buy the coax tracer and see if that helps.
Check all fittings and splitters and booster. EVERYTHING is suspect.

Antenna
We have a King Jack on a Forester and it is the worst TV antenna ever. I can only get TV stations in my Metro area driveway, but if I hook up a rabbit ear antenna, I pick up 12 more. Don't worry if you can't get your amplified button to work or not - it won't make a difference in TV reception when you go camping. This antenna is a big disappointment.

If you take out the wall unit there should be 3 coax connections, if they are “out of order” ( not hooked up correctly) the booster will not work properly. You might have to trace the cables and switch them.

And here's a schematic to help if you have this system...

Exactly, this is why I had the King on my new 34IK tossed into the trash can. Had Orvan install the Winegard Sensar IV above the hallway. I installed the Winegard Amplifier and now I can pull stations from 50+ miles no problem.

My new Sensar IV is arriving Thursday. The Rayzr Z 1 is "going Bye-Bye". Can't even receive stations 30 miles away and that's after checking all coax and power at the antenna.
Only benefit to the Rayzr is that I don't have to worry about putting it down when I leave my campsite. The old "lower antenna" warning card attached to a potato chip bag clip and clipped to my 7-wire connector cord should solve that. We used to clip to the tongue jack handle but no handle on the electric

Mike, don't forget to install this with the sensar IV.
RFL-332 Sensar Pro Signal Meter.

We carry a wi-fi Hotspot with us and a firestick with all my tv apps on it. (Netflix, Prime, AT&T direct, HBO). We even get our local news station no matter where we are and stream most content. We do check the local stations for local news and weather which our oem antenna seems to do a fair job of picking up. I have added the wingman attachment a year or two ago.

Don't know if the OP has solved his problem yet or not.
Just finished installing my new Sensar IV and while reading through the install manual I think I hit on what his problem is.
If you turn the antenna amplifier on they have "short proof circuitry". If there is a short in th coax that goes between the switch to the antenna (where the amplifier is located) the power is turned off and stays off for several minutes. If the short was temporary, like when connecting the coax, power can be turned back on after the "time-out".
If the coax is continuously shorted like a nail or screw in it, the light come on but then go out until the coax is replaced. Again, just the coax from switch plate to antenna.
Regardless of Winegard or King, they both use similar schemes to get power to the amplifier and the short circuit protection is to keep the coax from starting a fire.
BTW, the Sensar IV is a lot better antenna than the Rayzr Z1 I replaced. It's installed with a Sensar Pro signal strength "wall plate". Previously pixelated or "tiled" pictures are now nice and steady.
Still limited to the number of channels I can get due to the geography around my house but the channels I can get are much steadier an clearer.
Expect it to perform well when I'm out in the open.
