Got locked in the shower!

Took my first shower - it is a large corner one with glass doors. Shut the doors but when I was done found out that the latch had swung down locking it from the outside and I was stuck! My DH was outside but soon was back so I just had to wait BUT so scary.....I could not get out. Lesson learned make sure the latch is firmly in the open position before shutting the doors.

Sorry to say, but that is pretty funny!!! At least you know what happened and it should not happen again! Or a great way to play a trick on your DW!!

I am glad to see that someone else has been terrorized by the shower door latch.
Only happened once but I check the latch now every time.

Well sounded funny but would have been bad had not the DW been close by. Think I would try to snug up the latch to prevent future occurrences Later RJD.

My wife has always worried about that, I did not think it could happen. She's right again!

Our latch swings on the horizontal and still was able to lock DW in the shower. Need a latch to latch the latch open. lol

Hold a rubber band between your two fore fingers and thumbs, stretch it out.

Now slide it between the latch and frame work, let it relax.

With luck this should act as a rubber wedge that will hold the latch and can be removed with ease.

If you had no one to rescue you, you may have been able to break the latch. The replacement ones are fairly inexpensive. We broke one of the plastic horizontal type and were able to replace it.

It is rolling on the floor laughing the roflblack is the forum code for the laughing emoji. It shows up instead of the emoji if one of these : is missing.

Sounds like the latch was designed by DH whose DW wouldn't let him watch the big game

We are new members!!! Our first trip with our 2011 Cedar Creek....at our first campground...newly retired. I have seen quite a few people traveling alone so that's the first thing I thought of - what if you were alone? The doors slam together really hard - I honestly don't know how you could get out of there. The doors are really high and you don't have anything to break the glass with...glad I didn't have to try to figure out something.

My husband did get a good laugh out of it when he came back in....

Thanks for the humor!!!!

Got me in my Sunseeker 3120 MH - and I was out alone. I made enough racket that the camp next door heard me, came in and unlatched it.......embarassing!

I got stuck in my shower with the corner sliding glass shower door jamming. The end roller has come off the track several times, only once with me inside though.

Ours is the 3 section sliding glass door. If that happened to us, we could just slide out the #3 glass in the back - no issue!!

Your DH was probably outside making sure the grab handle was working properly.
