ours definitly has a fan to circulate air over the coils on the back outside of the fridge. It is a domistic fridge-don't know the model. You can hear it running on propane and 110v. I did not add it on, maybe the man. did. I have a cougar xlite.

some have replaced those fans near the outside coils with a computer fan. they run a lot quieter.

if u frig is in a slide out or vents out the side instead of on top, they put the fan there to insure ventilation. i thought they were on temp control.
others have found relocating the temp switch keeps them from cycling so much. i believe the dealers know abt this fix.
if that's the fan ur talking abt, i have read post on here abt the problem and the fix...just can't remember where

That must be an add on from FR.
My fridge vents through the roof and I don't have a fan...

I have a 2011 Cardinal 3425 RT and it has the Dometic 4-Door Fridge. It has dual cooling fans and mine are very noticeable when they kick on and off. Louder than the converter. Thinking in the future I might replace them with the computer fans like I have seen posts that other have done.

Wow, =] That reminded me of the prank phone calls I used to do 30 years ago.

Me : "Is your fridge running?"
Stranger : "Idk I will go and look."...... "Yes it is running."
Me: "Then why don't you go run and get it?"

Very unoriginal, I know.......

Btw, I thought our fridge was very noisy also but now I think it really is the converter.
