hand rail

Hi all has anyone installed A hand rail for inside ? If so how ? thanks

This is an old thread, but just in case someone might have the same question, I'll answer this anyway..


My Wife had a complete hip replacement just before we headed for AZ for the winter. I was afraid she might have problems with the three steps up to the bath and bedroom because there is nothing to hold on to. So I measured a piece of scrap wood I had so it would fit between the door frame and one of the inside studs. Took that piece of wood and cut it out to look just like the handle inside the door. Sanded it down so it was nice and smooth and drilled it for the holes, counter sank the hole's and then stained it to match the other inside handle just inside the door.
Mounted it to the wall and bingo...we have a nice smooth handle on the wall going up to the bath and bedroom. Looks just like Cedar Creek put it there.
