Have you used slideout slickers?

I know this topic has been discussed but I did a search and couldn't locate threads that helped. I am interested in using this product on linoleum and would really appreciate feedback from people who have actually used them. If you can help, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

I know it would help me if you described a "slideout slicker". That term's not in my vocabulary.

I don't know how to post links and my effort does not look promising. A search for slideout slickers on amazon will show you the product. To describe: plastic strips you put down for the slide rollers to move on while extending and retracting the slide. The purpose is to protect the floor from gouges.

Yes, we use the slickers. They work good. The only compliant I have is the anti slip material on the bottom side tears too easy and comes off letting them catch and slide with the slide as it moves. I have been thinking of replacing the original anti slip material with some other material I have on had that is a little thinner and wider for a better grip on the flooring.

Well... how about that. I have the possibility of learning something today. I've been at this a while and I've never seen nor heard of such. Needless to say, I can't answer your question but thanks for the new-to-me information.

We bought a set at the F.R.O.G. rally two years ago. Lippert was selling them in the vendor area. I bought them for the carpet area of our unit, to prevent wear to the carpet as the slide goes in and out.

They need to be under the slide, that's where the rollers are. The ones I use cost several hundred dollars.

Thanks for the replies. I put this topic out mainly to see if anyone had a problem as a result of using them. One of our rollers left dirt marks that I could barely get up. We put down painters tape when bringing the slide in to protect against dirt but I am worried about gouges too. Thanks again.

We've used Slideout Slickers for years on my SOB and current Silverback with great results. No more black marks on the rug at either end of the slides. You do have to watch when you first draw the slides in to make sure they rest under the slide and don't get pushed across the rug, but once the slide starts across them, they stay put. I dunno how they perform on linoleum, but would guess the same once the slide starts across them.

My Champagne slide passenger side has been resting on the vynal floor, I put it on the work order at the dealer, they have contacted CC several times and I talked to service at CC also. Actually CC has not returned a call to the dealer even after promising me they would do so nor the several times the dealer called for advice. The problem is that CC has no answer for the problem. My dealer gave me slickers but they are a pain in the butt laying down then storing away. Have they helped? Maybe a little.

Slideout protectors

I have been using inexpensive kitchen cutting protectors. They are pretty durable and usually three comes to a package. Just as the slide starts in, I place one under each slide wall on the carpet. They can be purchased at
Norpro Cut N' Slice Flexible Cutting Boards, Set of 3 on Amazon,
