Heat Strips for 2014 CKTS

Hi there,

Well, I give up. I thought these were available, but I can't find any information as to where to buy heat strips to fit my a/c's. I have both a/c's on my rig - the rear one is the standard unit: https://www.dometic.com/enus/America...ctdataid=74281
The front is: https://www.dometic.com/enus/America...ctdataid=99493

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I'll dig around, but one thing to check first. Is your thermostat configured for it, and is your control box in the AC configured for it? We have the heat strips in both of our AC's, and there is a setting listed on the t-stat for it. Fan, AC, Furnace, Heat Strip I believe is the order on both t-stats. On the front one, same list, but the Furnace or Heat Strip setting runs the heat strip.

I think my thermostat is this one:

I am almost positive that there was another receptacle to plug into when I had the bottom cover (inside) of the front a/c off.

That'd be the nicer one that I don't have. I hadn't looked at those real close. Just played with a few on the lots. Hopefully somebody with the same t-stat will have more input. It is definitely possible yours is already configured for it. Heat strips are cheap if you stay away from the dealer. When I get time I'll dig around some as I've found them pretty easy at some of the online places I deal with on a regular basis. If you've already seen the extra receptacle on the box, then that's what it's for.

Another option, and I'm not sure if he can answer this, but call Jeff Holmes at Cedar Creek with your VIN. They'll usually ask for the last 4 digits I think. jholmes@forestriverinc.com or (260) 593-2598. I believe he works in warranty, but has answered some questions for me before. If nothing else, he can direct you to somebody that could look and see how that one came off the line, possibly.
