Might not be a dealer, but I bet we'd have "Got 'er done" I would of even driven half way to meet you if necessary.

And I have no doubt he'd meet you with a handshake and a "let's git 'er done" as soon as you arrived.

There are a lot of members on this forum, and OC is at the TOP of any sort of list I'd ever make regarding "FINE folks" I've encountered here.

To quote (IIRC) that old Milwaukee beer commercial: It just don't get any better than this/Old Coot.

After what dcheatwood did to help your wife, I'm thinkin' he'd be right up there in the top as well.

So would the fine folks we met a few months ago, during a monsoon trip, who ran cable over four sites to ours so DH could watch golf and NASCAR during the rain, then left early and left that cable and manual type dish for us "as a gift". (said he had a lot full of those dishes and reels upon reels of cable back at home) Not mentioning any names but they know who they are. And YEP, they joined this forum after that weekend.

In fact, over the past 15 months we've met lots of people, and only the 5 RVs of party hearty/obnoxiously drunk and rude folks we ran into last July 4th would rate as someone we're not honored to have met.

Still watching this thread for the final fix and the name of those repair folks!

No doubt. Still hoping to make it over that way in the near future, hopefully without problems to fix.

Large parking area there so no problem with that. It's on the left less than a mile from the official entrance.
Yeah...along the drive there a couple of great swimming holes - one that has a rather nice cliff to dive off! Enjoy!

John, you Rebecca and the kids are always welcome anytime for how ever long. Coffee pot is always on and the shop is open practically 24/7 if we can find somebody to do the work.

John, glad to hear you got things taken care of, and so quickly (shame on those dealers!). Now you and your family can beat the heat and enjoy your trip. Safe travels to you and I hope u don't have any more issues while you are out.

Kudos to Old Coot for offering up the motor and to meet you halfway. Fine, fine people on this forum; look forward to meeting some of you if I ever venture out of my backyard

By the way OC, those awning poles look pretty good on. John's rig. Can you tell me which post would be best to find out more details on them, or send me some info about them? Do people leave the awning out when those are on, aside from serious winds? I'm intrigued!

I don't make the complete pole set anymore, but do sell the attaching hardware for those that want to use their own poles. Just happen to have a special on the kits.

And with those brackets + whatever poles you use, they become SELF storing.

We secure them with ratchet straps and earth anchors.

We own two of the complete sets, (we have two awnings) and I'ma tell ya, they're the cat's pay juh maes!

BEST addition we'll ever make to our 5er.
