How long you going to be in Pigeon Forge? I have a spare motor I can ship tomorrow if you can't get one from Dometic.

John,

You're for sure made of typical Louisiana stock; can't keep ya down!

I'm glad you're gettin' it handled. DH and I want the name and number of that service company. Just told him we'll tape that info on the inside of a cabinet door for future reference since we *know* we'll be making more trips to Pigeon Forge.

For now, take a deep breath, exhale and with that equally "typical Louisiana stock" wife of yours, and those two kids! Take your daughter to at least one place on the strip where she can JUMP! I've no doubt at least a half dozen places 'round there have those air-up jumpy houses.

And YOU hit that new *high speed* go-cart track (says DH). It's on the south end just before that huge quilt store on the right. (quilt store has dozens of quilts hanging on wires outside).

OC, we'll be here until sometime Thursday. I'll let you know something hopefully tomorrow. They are supposed to call me back as soon as they get confirmation from Dometic. I did ask them if they had a 9100 manual awning in stock, but they didn't. They did say I'd be surprised how many people have requested to get the power awning off and put the manual back on. Guess some have good luck and some don't with the power awnings.

So, there are 2 places you can get good service. The one I'm dealing with, and FRF (David / OC).

Weezer, I'll post all info on this place, and one other once the verdict is in. So far so good. Tomorrow I'll know more. My wife is the reason I'm still dealing with all this stuff one thing at a time. Not because she really wants "THIS" camper, but because I've never let one whoop me yet. Louisiana stock, you bet. One from the south, one from the north. She's coon ass, I'm pretty much red neck, which makes our kids, well......coon necks or red .... I suppose.

Headed to Cades Cove in the morning, then to a show tomorrow evening. No awning required for those.

Just let me know where you're going after Pigeon Forge and I can ship it there also. I'll check the motor out tomorrow to make sure it still works. I've carried it for 3 or 4 yrs just in case mine bit the dust. I also have the torsion spring end.

John,

Stop at the pull-over site just before you enter into the Smokey Mountain parkway and let those kids play in that AWESOME mountain stream flowing there. Let your little girl JUMP in that water!

Large parking area there so no problem with that. It's on the left less than a mile from the official entrance.

Service people called me this morning and said new motor was on the way and will be here in the morning. They should be on site and have it installed before lunch. I'm getting spoiled.

It's times like this that make me ticked off at most every dealer service. From first call to fixed, less than 48 hours. In my work, I've gotten anchor parts shipped all the way around the world, clear customs and in my hands in a week. So to all the dealer service people that tell me it'll be weeks, maybe a month to repair something, ehh, lie to someone else. With the right contacts, attitude and will power, it can be done provided parts are on the shelf, which most are in the Rv industry. Most dealer service people lack all 3 of those.

Yep, you'll get to keep the spare OC. But believe me, I was locked and loaded ready to call you this morning. I had told my wife last night, if we weren't booked in Kentucky, I might have just detoured over to NC for a fix.
