Help, We're taking on water...

I found something others may have to check on. I found I had a leak in the bedroom after a bad storm with the slide in. I checked everywhere to try and find where it came in at. The slide seals very well and tight all the way around. In the mean time we had another storm and once again it leaked... The only place and where I believe it came in at is the metal trim around the slide. They have silicone that should seal the trim. The silicone is not in the crack and has pulled away. I think it was running down in behind the trim plate and then under the slide between the plastic shield and slide floor. I have resealed it and hope that is where it was. Just waiting on the next rain storm.... In the mean time check the caulking around the trim on your slides......

Well, again let me say that is EXACTLY WHERE MY 2015 33rl was leaking when NEW! trim
Plates replaced, everything on the top and sides were resealed. 2 years later; no leaks at all.

Yeah, I checked it after the last rain storm and it was dry at the top. The seals on top of the slide were dry and there was no water coming in around the slides. The only place it could be was the trim metal around the slide. The way the factory silicone pulled away there was nothing in the gap the whole way across the bottom. I caulked the crack but some day here this summer I will try to pull off the metal trim and caulk under it too....probably when I eternal bond tape everything on my roof...lol lol

Ok that is 2 pics of the crack....all it is is the 5-6 inch metal trim that goes around the outside edge of the slides......Not sure where the blue came in at but if you look close you can see the silicone is just on the outside of the slide and I don't see any down in the crack...when it gets nicer out I am going to remove the trim and try to see if there is anything under it....
