Help with 2011 Silverback furnace/ac

Ok, so now we know why our unit is not working. What the previous owner did NOT tell us is the unit is remote controlled. We thought (before we figured it was remote controlled) that we could just put a new thermostat on it, oh how wrong we are. So, since the ac works pretty good with the thermostat but not the heat, he wants to direct wire the furnace with a new thermostat. Problem, where is the furnace on this unit and has anyone done this? Or, has anyone bought a new remote control for the dometic and had it work? Any and all help will be much appreciated.

The Dometic thermostat that had the remote was notorious for failure, over running the temp setting, and A/C and furnace fighting each other. As you have found out, the wiring is similar to a telephone cable and is not as simple as just plugging it in. Dometic sold a conversion kit several years back to do away with the remote thermostat ... it is all pretty much plug and play.Dometic CCC Conversion Kit 3310009 000 | eBay

This is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks so much. I should have known it would be an expensive fix (not easy either) but at least it is fixable. I called dometic and they are useless.
