Hey, Where's my Water Pump?

Hi, I have a 2018 Cedar Creek Silverback 33IK. The water pump is leaking back into the fresh tank when we're on city water. Does anyone know where the pump is located?

Thanks for the Help,

Ken

On my Cedar Creek it is behind the service bay on the driver side of the trailer. There is plastic cover that is moved out of the way and it is bolted to the floor. The cover has a finger hole in it and is slipped in and out to gain access, it is held in place by the service bay. Sorry I have no picks to show you.

It is a very common issue. Try this
Shut off city water
Open faucet until flow stops
Close faucet
Turn on water pump
open faucet and let water run about 30 sec.
Shut off faucet
Once pump stops, turn off pump
turn city water back on.

This should reseat the back flow valve. Running the water pump on city water can cause this.

Hey, Where's my Water Pump?

Have this same issue with our 2016 33IK. I really need to put a check valve on the discharge side of the pump. Camco makes them.

Until I have a chance to do the repair, I shut off the main valve that comes from the fresh water tank and the valve used for winterizing, this prevents any water from going into the fresh water tank. Both valves are located at the control panel on the right side wall both are exposed and not behind any panels.

I have tried the reset method using the pump unfortunately did not work for us.

Thanks Jim34RL, that was right where it was. New problem now. Had a check valve installed by a Cedar Creek dealer and the water pressure is so low, when running on the pump, that the pump never stops running, even after all the faucets are closed.

The dealer says "It's caused by the check valve." Well that's no good. The dealer is going to contact Cedar Creek to see if they'll spring for a new pump.

I had the same problem on my 5'ver and put the check valve on the water in side of the water pump.

Works great and no water flow restriction!

Try that!
