I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with the Hi-Run tires on the SilverBack model? My 5th wheel is 2 years old and had about 5k miles on it before a tires blew out. The tires were in great shape, always ran at max pressure and showed no signs of poor wear. The damage caused by the blowout was pretty bad and I hate to see it happen to others.
Yup, you have China bombs. There are literally hundreds of posts concerning how bad these Chinese tires are. Get rid of them and get yourself a set of Michelin, BF Goodrich or any other American made LT tires and go camping.
We had the same thing happen, except our tires didn't even have 5k on them! Had a left front blow out on the way to Myrtle Beach and a right rear blow on the way back. We contacted Carlisle trying to at least get our deductible back from the damage caused and even had to send them a tire to inspect. Their response was we must have run over something to cause the blowouts. Anyone ever run over something with their back tire and not the front? Those folks are unbelievable!
Forest River folks were awesome in helping us out and now we have a new set of Goodyear's on and ready to roll (once we get the RV back from the dealership)!
