It is an "optical illusion".... Actually the drive area where the rig sits slopes up to the back of the rig sharply after where the tires sit so it is very close due to the rig leveling out. Although it does hang lower than our previous rig it is no all that close to the ground when on level ground.

There are some mods to the anemic storage tube posted within the last year or so in addition to the fence post and screw cap PVC tube options.
The one with the larger door and slide out trough caught my attention.

Here's the problem.

Take FR round tube off of Door assembly then attach it to a 5"X5" fence post cover. Seal other end with a post cap silicone on. You can make the post cover as long as you want. Check to make sure nothing is going to interfere with the post cover sliding it 5' or 6' into side of unit.(water lines, heat runs, ect.

Cover assembly attached to post cover

Here's pic of FR round tube (top) and new post cover hose holder (bottom). Rhinoflex is stored in pvc rain gutter. You will have to make a support for the capped end of the post cover.

Installed and ready to use.
