Ok I finally got to getting a sound bar. Picked up a Vizio 29 inch sound bar for $78, not the best but is one of the few that will fit on the counter where the TV is. A big 38 inch bar would look kinda funny sticking out past the windows. Anyways, there are empty audio OUT connections on both the radio and the TV.. Got it all fished thru and connected. Sound is not the greatest or the loudest on this sound bar, but it is a dang sight better then the little 5 inch speakers or the TV speakers. So it is an improvement.

Glad to hear you hate the Jensen TV! So did I. Replaced it with a real TV (Samsung) and got rid of the terrible audio system (?); replaced it with a small Phillips surround system. MUCH happier...real 5.1 and TV "talks" to the Phillips for control. Sound bar was originally part of system but compared to 5.1...well, there is no comparison as you might expect. Good luck with your "upgrades"...they're worth it!

Hmm took the 29 inch sound bar back...still wasn't real happy with it and it also got a headache and stopped working. Got the Vizio 2.1 square type sound bar for a little more money. It is a lot better then the 29 incher. Still not the greatest but a dang sight better. Now lets hope this one holds up

Still think you would've been money ahead to replace the factory speakers with some high quality ones. Throw in a sub if it doesn't have one and you'll get a better sound.
Or step up and spend the bucks for a GOOD sound bar.

The 29 inch vizo sound bar was standard in our Cedar Creek. Now it is standard in our garage somewhere.

The speakers are just 5 1/4 inch little things. To get good sound outa something that small would have to get Bose but = big $$$$$$$ or if you can find a quality speaker in that size would still be expensive. Didn't want to make bigger holes in the cabinet and the sound from the Jensen TV is also terrible, picture aint bad but most flat screens have terrible sound. So best option without a lot of cutting or extra sound systems or add on woofers etc was to me to get a small sound bar. The one I got can connect to 4 devices and Bluetooth and has built in sub woofer and sounds decent. So radio, TV, DVD and even phone now play thru it...
