The diagram for the 4 batt setup doesn't provide any charge to the batteries that the inverter runs off of you need to wire the two sides together so they all charge

The diagram on my Cedar Creek does show how the batteries should be hooked up, how someone can mess it up is beyond me. Click image for larger version

The diagram has you basically wire up 4 6 volt batteries to make to large 12volts. But the main poss cables do not connect together like the diagram shows as you can see in the last pic I posted the 2 red wires coming through the back of the batt box one feeds inverter only and 1 feeds rest of coach.

I have C.C. too and mine were not hooked up right. when plugged into truck didn't charge .so the dealer needs to be schooled in battery connections. also I moved my batteries to the right so I could get at them .put a automatic full tube on them.

I have the same hookup, when you have just one large 12 volt battery it doesn't matter which hot post you hook up too for your inverter or the coach. I put the inverter and the coach on the same hot post but you can put them on different posts, I don't think it matters, first you have to get the batteries hooked up right. I have used disconnects like these but then I have to check them about ten times just to make sure I have everything hooked up right because you can mess something up real bad when you throw the switch. Next year I want to set up another battery bank just for the coach, with Trojan six volt, four battery bank. Click image for larger version

This diagram shows the missing wire we had -and many other rigs we have looked at have had the same missing wire to group the two sets of batteries into a complete parallel/serial group.

And to clarify - we have jumpers across all four batteries BEFORE they connect to the coach and inverter so all four are supplying the coach and inverter.

Just go to 12 volt side of life and hook your battery bank like it shows in his diagram and you will not go wrong, if I can do it anyone can do it. I know it looks confusing but it's not, you can hookup the inverter and the coach to the same hot post and then hook up the ground to the ground post. It does not matter which post you use on which battery because with the batteries hooked up in series and parallel you have is one large 12 volt battery, when hooked in parallel all the batteries will charge
