Inverter

I have a 15. 36CKTS with the residential refrigerator. When I turn the inverter on to run the refrigerator it gives me an error code of E04 which means low battery. I have checked the voltage on all 4 batteries and they are all good 6.4 to 6.6 volts.
Any suggestions?

What size of inverter do you have?
How far is the inverter from the battery?
What is your cable size?

I was told to make the distance from battery -> inverter less than 6 feet and use the largest cable I could afford. I would suggest trying to keep it less than 3 ft and use nothing smaller than 1/0.

The refrigerator most likely surges on startup. Sounds like you have 4 batteries which should be able to provide the current surge at startup.

Great that you have a (Factory Installed Inverter)! Can you please tell us if there is a (Warning/Notice) that the outlet is still (120 Volts Active) even when you Unplug from Shore Power! Youroo!!

No I don't see any such warning label. Reading the front of the inverter the is a label that's states "red button must be in the out position for remote operation " In the out position it is turned off in my opinion .

It surprises me that the RV units that have a (Inverter) don't have a (Notice/Danger) notice that states even though you are (Unpluged from Shore Power) The unit still has (LIVE 120Volt POWER)!! With all the other Q,s owners have about (Water/filters/TVs/Ect.) this is one that can KILL if Not known! Thanks,Youroo!!

A 1,000 watt inverter is kind of small to run a fridge IMHO. Was it OEM? Most units with capacitive starters [refrigerators and A/C] require a surge current much higher than the "run current". If they don't get it, they shut the circuit down.
Also, inverters should be turned off when not in use. Again IMHO.

It is OEM. The only thing on the inverter is the refrigerator

Like the other poster said the fridge usually takes a spike in the required current to start the capacitor for the compressor to kick in on the fridge. Check the labeling on your fridge to see the amp, volt draw. The formula is Volts X Amps = Watts You might be taxing the limit of your inverter. Just sayin'

You may need a "hard start capacitor" kit for the fridge. They are cheap and easy to install. All A/C service companies have them.

The inverter is showing a fault code when I turn it on. The fault code is E04 which is low battery voltage. I have checked each battery and the voltage is good. When the inverter displays the voltage it is 12.6 which is good. All voltage reading are good but the inverter says low battery voltage.

Have you checked to make sure your batteries are hooked up right, mine were hooked up in series but not in parallel. Someone at the factory seems to have missed that
