Jensen TV turns on in middle of the night

Anyone know of a "setting" that if set would cause the TV to come on by itself?
We have to unplug the system to get any sleep!

Have you checked through the menu of the tv to see if there is a setting for a certain time you want the tv to go on and off? All tv's have a "sleep timer" setting where you can set it and it will go off when you fall asleep, but some tv's have another setting in the menu that will cause it to come on at a preset time (like a security measure if you are not home). Check out your menu fully...that is really what it must be.

I didn't find anything that would turn it on-only off. I will check again to be sure. I did reset to factory defaults and that cured the issue for one night. Next time we had TV on and shut it down it came on again in middle of the night.

If your remote control is set to audio (whatever setting is not tv) and then you hit Menu, the audio box will change to alarm on, which will have your tv come on at midnight. I'm not with my tv right now, but that is what I recollect and posted about it last year or so.

On the front panel of you system, hit the bottom left button that says on/off. This controls your alarm, which is waking you up.

Jensen Ghosts

My original Jenen radio went cuput and was replaced by the great FR people. On our first trip it kept coming on in the middle of the night. I finally found that it had an alarm feature that was set for 3 or 4 AM, No more ghosts!

So... is it the tv that comes on or the Jensen audio system?

The OP said their tv came on?

You are correct, my visual auto correct left out "tv". Of course, he could have meant tow vehicle.

You might want to see if the guy parked next to you has the same TV He's probably standing outside your window using his remote to turn on your while waiting for his dog to do his business in the middle of the night!

Sorry, work's been tough today, I needed a bit of comic relief!!

Happy Camping!

My wife and I used to have a bad habit of leaving our Remote lying on the bed after turning off the TV. The dog turned the TV on a couple of times as he was "realigning" himself in the middle of the night, stepping on the ON button while doing so.

May not fix it, but a cheap check. Put some new batteries in the remote.
