King Pin Tri-pod

Mixed opinions on this item. Should we get it or not.
Thanks
Larry

Personally, NO

I suppose it depends on the trailer and many aspects...

But personally, i had one that was thrown in when i bought my trailer. Ive only used it once and never noticed a difference with it. Though that could be due to the added structure of a toyhauler, a non-toyhauler may actually benefit something from them.

Do you want it?

A couple of guys at my work use one, both say it is okay but their FW still moves some.

Where to put it when not in use?

No storage issues.

Several users here.

Use with X chocks or something like them.

Have one and use it. However I also have an air pin box, and unless I dump the air bag I still get some movement.

I had used one on my Everest but after purchasing the Creek did not feel like I needed it. Have not used it going to give to a friend. With level up and the weight of the Creek the coach is pretty stable.

Go with Strong Arms or Steadyfast, or build your own version. That style works great.

This is true, unless you have hydraulic landing gear, then it's not recommended by Lippert, even though they sell an adapter kit for such. Never understood that. Main reason I never built a system for my 5er.

If you have the square tube vertical electric front jacks that wobble, the tripod helps. It's not worth it on the canted hydraulic jacks, especially with the level-up system.

We have a tripod we use for our toyhauler and it makes a big difference but still some movement. I am told the strong arms are better but have not had to time or money to get them.
