Kinro awning window screens let the bugs in....Silverback 33RL

We own a 2014 Silverback 33RL which we love! One little problem we are having is with the screens on the "crank out" storm or awning style windows by Kinro. The screens do not sit flush on each end against the window frames which leaves a gap large enough for mo-skeetos and flying red ants to get in. We checked the clips that hold the screens in and they are all tight. Plan on calling Kinro tomorrow, but wondered if anyone has this problem and a fix it? Thank you! We were certain we were done with the bugs when we gave up the tent....

Yep, they are that way. You can gently bend them until they fit more flusher, but that's about all. Not very well designed.

We had the same problems with our Wildcat, DW did not like that, now I know other people had the same problem. Just something Tom Johnson thought we were whinning about

I had that problem on 2 other brands. None on the Creek. One was caused by a poorly mount window frame. I was not squared up. You can check that possibility with a small level. The fix is either remount or replace the entire unit. The second was a warped screen frame. You can check that by laying on a counter with the clips up. They can be carefully bent back into shape if they are warped. or, if it's minor, you might want to consider some self adhesive foam tape on clip side of the screen frame. You will not see it and it will solve the invasion issue. These are not machined surfaces so there can be gaps. Also, you can check to see that the clips are fully engaging in the slots. They can be adjusted with some needle nose pliers. Hope this helps.
