How do you get the faucet out? MAJOR leak at faucet connection. Hoses are ok but somewhere after hose connection to faucet fitting major leak. Need faucet out to see problem. THanks, Don
Found problem, copper tubing broke. Fairly easy fix but I'm big guy and don't have right tools or small enough to get to it. I had replaced faucet on previous trailer. Will get new faucet Monday and get replaced Tuesday. How can tubing break sitting there, trailer hasn't been moved since sit up by dealer a year ago?
It was winterized. No problem for a month. There is a small brass ring around the break. It broke right at that ring. Will take a picture and post later. Crimped tube to shut water leak off and still use rest of water system for now.
I had the same issue with a replacement bathroom faucet. It broke at the same spot even though the rig was winterized. My problem arose from two things:
1. Winterizing was done by blowing out the plumbing system with compressed air.
2. A few drops of water were left in the faucet which dropped back to the fitting then froze.
Unfortunately, the hose could not be replaced because it's a nonstandard fitting. I ended up replacing the entire faucet to get a replacement hose.
RV repair guy said that when factory tightened the fitting, don't use 2 wrenches and twisted copper tube up inside faucet. Another fitting on faucet wasn't even finger tight. Winterized by dealer, both blow air out first and then pump the pink winterize fluid thru all lines and faucets.
