Took ours out right away and replaced with matching led lights from other end of seating area . Ridiculous to have them there in the first place

Have same problem on 33IK one broke at mounting plate, glass shade shattered. Met a 29IK owner from Calif who had problem 4 separate times and was just given same new fixtures as solution. I don't want a repeat of that. Is anyone at FR looking at these posts?

On our 29RE I put "lock tight" on the threads and as a precaution I now put wood clamps on the joint at the ceiling to stop any swing...No problems now!! FR did replace fixture and table a week after we picked it up in 2014.....J

It is really nice that they install a globe that is as thick as they are but when you hang it on a faulty toothpick its of no use and then they just keep replacing it with the same cheap toothpick. What a waste of the companies time and money. Based upon the time frame of some of these responses and dates of the RVs I would say that they the company are not reading, hearing or learning from any of this.

We have a 2016 29IK and took our first trip from NY to VA this week. When we arrived, we discovered that the globes had knocked together and one broke. We just stared the return trip and stopped for a bathroom break. We checked on the remaining fixture and saw that it broke off. How horribly made! When we get the replacements, we'll heed Jim in Halifax's advice to stiffen them up.

I have a 2016 CC Silverback 29ik. Have had the same problem with the cheap junk lights over the table. Have lost 2 on different vacations. The first replaced with the same. I subsequently used pipe insulation to have a "soft but stiff" cross brace after the first mishap. I am working with Tami Bulva from Forest River on how to handle this because as I have said to her this is now a second time, there won't be a third. Glass everywhere, damaged table top, gouge in my island countertop. She told me that many CC owners have experienced this so I don't understand why a recall has not been issued or that they have not gone as far as having a smaller version of the island light made to go over the table. Total Junk!!! Because of the first mishap, Forest River sent me a pair so I was able to replace the first one and had one left. Just changed your the one that smashed this time with the left over one. The second one has a cracked globe all the way down and through it, nut still together. Such cheap junk and of course rather than replace with something appropriate I am assuming I will be receiving more junk!!Click image for larger version

ID:	147547 it's a shame that you have to "Jerry Rig" stuff because the engineers FR employes/contracts with have no idea what a RV experience s going down the road!!!

Had same problem with our 2014 29RE.........I put some lock thread on the threads/nut and that solved the problems.....Also I put a small carpenders clamp on the tops of each as a further protection when travelling..Still OK after three yrs..

My last rig (2003 Holiday Rambler) had a ceiling fan. I loved it, but one time a blade came off, landing on top of the slide. We replaced the broken bracket & all was well.
