Low point drains
So I have a brand-new 2013 Cedarcreek 36CKTS. I see where the low point drain is but I don't see any valves to open them up. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here?
Thanks
Greg

Mine just have caps on them. Just unscrew them and let the water out. then if they do not have a rubber gasket in them, Teflon tape them.

Ditto
I'm assuming the OP means the Red and Blue low point drain lines.

Click on this link http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...nes-49633.html and then scroll down to post number 7 to see the photos I posted of where the low point drain valves are hidden.

They should have caps on them. I pulled my caps off and used a 1/2" pvc valve to replace the caps.

No caps on Cedar Creek models, there are actual open/close valves on the lines in the basement area.

The drain for my fresh water tank is like that, good thing the water is low volume.

They have just installed 2 shut off valves in my basement for the low point drains. If you get into cold weather as I did in Pensacola Fl. a couple of weeks ago they both froze and caused a leak. That is the weak point of the whole system. I hope I hit all the right keys this time Weezer?.......

LOL,
We wrap out LPDs with "RubberTex" during cold weather. (throw back to A/C dealership days....it was used on Freon lines.)

Mine has caps on them as well. However, they are very difficult to remove.
On the other hand, I find that the receiver they screw into is *much* easier to turn and let's me loosen the cap.

You were right. It's behind the side wall in the garage. King nice this way. Other trailer had the caps at the ends and sometimes we're hard to get to. This seems much easier

The good thing about a shut off valve in the basement, They won't freeze up, or you do not have to insulate the bottoms so they don't freeze up when your camping. They should put in shut off valves on units for as cheap as they are. It just nickel and dime stuff.

Here they are the round flat ones, the other is the joint that we put in to pull the lines to install couplers otherwise you couldn't do it without pulling the water pump.
