New 2014 CC 36cks
We went to the Greenville, SC show this weekend. They had the new 2014 CC 36cks at the show.We have been looking for 2 years at 5th wheels! They made some improvements to the kitchen. The stove has more counter space next to it on the right. They no longer have the narrow spice and knife cabinets on either side of the stove. The cabinet on the left side of the stove is even with the stove now. Nice improvement.
In the bedroom they removed the drawers that we're on the right side of the closet. In stead you have this little 3 drawer unit. The clothes carousel is gone.
But they did add an outlet for the right side of the bed!
So we came back to NC and ordered our CC36cks! We are so excited! And a little nervous.
This forum helped us know what to order and what questions to ask. Many thanks and we look forward to participating in the forum when we know something!

We have a Dodge Ram 3500 dually 4 door. Bought the truck last year when we decided on a 5th wheel. Hubby likes it a lot. We have the pulling power. We are getting lots of exercise parking in the farthest spot in the parking lot.

You are gonna be so happy with that rig! The DW and I got ours in October and since first f the year have been going out just about every other weekend - can't get enough of it!
So you have an outlet on each side of the bed? Lucky you - ours only has 1 on left, and the DW gets that one!
Enjoy and hopefully the wait won't be too long!

Hey Wayne, I see you have a CKTS and a F250 Crew Cab. We just picked up a 2013 CKTS and I have a 2013 F250 CC as well. I have a manual slider hitch and the dealer tells me I will probably need it for maneuvering. Never needed it before with the last trailer. Just wondering if you have one and what kind of clearance you have with your setup?

Welcome and good luck with your new rig. We love ours. If you have any question just ask there is plenty of info on this forum.

Hi Greg, during my research on all this (being new to the 5er community as of October; had a TT up until then), I found and was advised that with the long bed (mine measures about 6'10") I would not need the slider hitch, so the dealer, Lazy Days in Seffner, FL, set me up with a standard hitch. I have not any problems yet with backing, turning, etc.
I've done some backing at an angle and had the DW nervous about how close the cap came to the window, but it is tough to tell how close I really was before I pulled forward to reposition. The DW ALWAYS gets overly frantic when helping me back up, so I have to take her reactions/directions with a grain of salt. To keep the peace, I just patiently stop and pull forward to realign when I feel the need - happy wife makes for happy life . I am by no means a great backer, but get better every time out!
On the Ford Truck Forums, I had found a guy with similar truck to mine but the shorter bed , and he busted out his back window while jack knifing at some point (can't recall if he was backing or making a tight turn). He quickly went out and got a slider hitch after that!
I hope this helps. I'm sure you are loving your rig as much as we do ours!

Wayne. Thanks for the input. We took it home and I tried backing in without the slider hitch in maneuvering position and it seemed fine. It does look close to the cab at some points but as you said its hard to tell how close. I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes.
Thanks
Greg

You'll love it! Just be ready to clean it - before moving in! Sawdust everywhere! When you have questions, ask those of us who really OWN one!

Happy for you!
Congrats on your purchase! You will love it! What's funny is that you (in NC) came to SC to buy and we (in SC) went to NC to buy! Guess it all works out. I was going to offer you the courtesy of "visiting" our CKTS and still make that offer. You'd learn a LOT of things to ask (read: demand) by a few minutes on the "tour". We live near Columbia so if you'd like please let me know and I'll make it worth your drive. Where are you located? I have learned a bunch of stuff (our first 5-er too after 12 years with smaller TT) and happy to share. Where/who did you buy from? If TJ boy do I have a lot to tell you! Thanks and happy times!

Greg, I hope it works out for ya! Having the slider will certainly give you some pice of mind an flexibility. We came back yesterday from another weekend getaway, and backed her back into the storage yard. Got close again while jacking, had to stop, go forward, etc each time again. I guess I gotta just get used to hearing about it from the DW each time!
Be safe and !
Wayne
