No, I need storage more than dishwasher. We have been fulltimers since 2003 and never had a dishwasher in our fiver so we did not get one in the cottage. I don't mind washing dishes.

I ordered one for my wife, but sometimes it works and then not, so if I cannot get it to work right I will have my dealer take it out and put in the storage shelves that would've come with it.

I have question for the owners of cedar creek cottage owners, do you stay when the temp drops down to below zero or colder. dw & I are maybe considering buying one and living in it from mid April to mid Dec. in Canada, any comments.

If you are going to live in it for that period of time, then I suggest getting the double pane windows and telling them when they build it to add extra insulation all over the trailer.
Then get a 100 lb propane tank or larger for your heater because the two 30 lb tanks are not enough and it elates changing Ll of the time.8

Yes I was looking at having double pane and have add as much insulation as possible, not sure we're your from charcoal but do you stay in yours when the temp drops down, and are the slides warm, I was also looking at installing electric heat to the unit on a permant basis.

I live in Delaware and have my cck in a campground on top of a mountain, their water is not deep enough so the water is turned off first week of November and turns on last week of March, so we spend about seven months in the trailer and the other five at our home in Delaware .

So I assume you winterize your unit then, just wandering how you do the dishwasher and washer if you have one. Thanks for info, I think this will help.

Edit from what I understand about heat pumps ( which is not much) do you not need water from below ground to make your heat pump work.

You do not need water to run a heatpump. Your thinking geothermal and these RV ones are just air to air heatpump. They will only run down to about 30-35 degrees and prob lockout which then switches over to the propane furnace. There peak running is about 40-42. Anything below that they start to run longer and blow cooler.

Where is your unit going to live in Virginia and getting this early you will probably have to winterize it.

I blow out all of the lines with an air compressor. I shut off the ice maker and dishwasher a couple weeks before we shut down, we'll wait and see if it worked. I had a fifth wheel and did it that way for 6yrs, my wife didn't like the antifreeze after taste.

Do you pour any antifreeze into the bottom of the dishwasher, I would assume their must water in bottom. What do you guys use for propane - the 30lb tanks or do use larger for longer stays.

We will be living in ours during the winter. We are having 2 100 lb propane tanks delivered so we will be toasty warm. We have been down in the teens already and have had no problems in the 5th wheel, so we will be fine.

We don't have 100 lb yet, but right now we have 2 40 lb tanks and we can go 3 - 4 days on just 1 tank when the temps are 20 or below. We keep our heat set at 68 in the living room and 65 in the bedroom and no frozen pipes or tanks. In our 5th wheel (King of the Road) some of the heat goes down in the under belly. We also use a ceramic heater so everything is good.

In the "J" traps And Dishwasher I put about 2 cups of antifreeze or windshield washer fluid for the winter, also drop some in the black tank.
