Question New CC 38FL & new to Forum

Wondering if there are any CC 38FL owners that have had buyer's remorse after purchasing their fifth. We are looking forward to delivery of our FW in 8 weeks, then get acquainted with it this summer and snow-birding somewhere in Arizona fall and winter 2014. I am currently watching the snow fall in Northern Minnesota and can only hope that the next 8 weeks pass quickly. Do you have a front living room model FW and do you have any buyer's remorse?

Personally, I do not have a 38FL, but really like the layout. There was a question asked a few weeks ago about your dream unit... I responded a 38FL.

Negotiating on a Cardinal 3800FL at the moment. Same family, same basic layout, just the Cardinal has the walk-through bath, instead of the side bath like the 38FL. Would prefer the side bath, but can live with the walk through.

For us, it is about getting an emergency exit (from the bedroom) that does not require an 8 feet fall from a bedroom window, if we could even get through the window in an emergency. We are a little large, and long in the tooth, to be jumping out of upstairs bedroom windows.

New CC 38FL & new to Forum

Like you, we are also looking forward to taking delivery of our new 38fl. If the weather holds, we are planning on the Easter weekend to take possession from the dealer. We too like the layout and pretty much everything about it. It just feels like time is standing still until we can get out in her and take it for a spin. So far all we have are the dealers photos I lifted from their site but it give me something to drool over while I watch the snow melt.

This is our third unit since 2008 but it will be our first fifth wheel. I've been trying to hold off from buying bits for it but the temptation is just too much. I'm now just waiting for friends to bring back the delivery we had made to their hotel in Vegas last week.

Congrats!!!!!!! We have a Cedar Creek not the FL but very happy with it, out of all the front living rooms we have seen the Cedar Creek would be our number one choice. Good luck hope the wait is short and enjoy when it gets there.

Congrats and good choice, but I am biased... Fellow 38FL owner here! We love it and do not regret it for a minute. We are also waiting for the snow to melt to pull the cover and get it ready for summer again.

Plenty of good info here on the forum and if you are not sure just ask away. Enjoy the rig.

Congrats!! We have had our 2014 38FL since September. We absolutely love it! This will be our 5th RV but our 1st 5th wheel. The floor plan is what sold us! Exactly what we were looking for!
It is a beast to travel with but well worth it when you get to your destination! As with any RVs it is all about learning everything over again. A lot of complicated wiring, gizmos and stuff supposedly to make life easier but it is more to break.
We can't wait for spring break to take her out again!

Happy Camping!

Congrats on a great choice! Got ours in November and, overall, we're pretty happy with it. Got a few things that don't quite make sense - like two opposing hide-a-beds in the living room and the crazy way the satellite/antenna interface operates - but overall, it's a great rig.

Do yourself a favor, if you can....video the entire PDI and ask a lot of questions while you're doing it. I wish I could remember HALF of what went on during ours.

Happy trails!!

Where in AZ?

We bought a 2012 36RD5S. We looked at the FL but it carried about a 1000 pounds less in cargo so we went with the RD5s. Everything has been great. It actually rides great behind the F350 dually. Where are you wintering in AZ. We are in Mesa and the weather has been great all winter.

We've put deposit on Adobe village RV Park in Yuma. Sister and Bro-in-law are full timers and spent this past winter there. The reason the 38FL has 1000 lbs less cargo is it has 5 slide outs. Slide outs are heavy consequently less cargo in lbs. We'll just have to wash clothes more often. We will be snow birds from Minnesota for about 5 months every winter. We were in Mesa Feb 2014, rented a villa, and I agree - fantastic weather!!! Good luck this summerin your travels.

Anyone visiting Mesa, AZ should try to camp ( if even for a try it period) at Eagle View RV Resort in Ft McDowell, AZ. 10 miles outside of Mesa. Owned by the Yavapi indians. Spent the winter there 3 years ago and it was GREAT!
Wild horses just outside of the resort, beautiful views! Great security! Only log rail fencing so terrain views are not blocked . 2 miles from the gate is a terrific old west cookout place where families buy their hot dogs , etc and cook them over open fire pits . On a clear night you will not want to leave! It's another 2 miles down a dusty dirt road from the highway to get to the front entrance which is an old mission!
Not to be missed by any age, kids to seniors. Yes, beer sales.
For more traditional entertainment, 1mile outside the gate is a casino. HUGE bingo crowd! Slots that actually pay out! ( somewhat).

Nope, not right explanation

No, my 36RD5S has five slides as well. Two in Den, two in BR and one in Kitchen. Cargo rating is still different. Could not see any differences in amenities when we walked through the FL.
