New CC question

Our new CC will be plugged into a 30 amp supply box. I'm looking into purchasing a surge protector. We bought the 50 to 30 reducer plug, from coach to box. My question is which surge protector do I need. A 50 amp or 30 amp? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

If your coach has 50 amp service, I would go with a 50 amp surge protector. For your home setup you can go reducer to surge protector to coach. When you're out using 50 amp service somewhere you'll still be able to use the 50 amp surge protector with the 50 amp plug.
I personally however would go with a 50 amp hardwired power protection system - it provides for much more protection than just a surge protector. We installed the EMS-HW50C Progressive Industries EMSHW50C Surge Protector : Amazon.com : Automotive

Pulled converter/distribution center
Converter has 6 screws and simply pulls out.

Cut incoming line and wired in quick disconnects in case removal of surge was needed you can plug converter back in while surge is out.

Simple and easy.
Only incoming wire needs cut and attach one end to in side of surge and other to the out.
