New Cedar Creek Owner.

Hello all,

I am a new Cedar Creek owner picking up a 2017 38CK from the dealer this Friday. I have a question about the 6 point level up system. With this system what do you recommend for under the pads between the jacks and the ground or if anything. We will be living in it full time.

Thank you in advance.

I use a 2x12 with a 5/16 inch I think plywood top with the grain running in the opposite direction glued and screwed together and then painted white. This set up works well for me.

I wouLd recommend Snap Pads. I installed them on my 5th wheel and really like them. Make sure you get the upgraded ones that have the slots for water drainage, same price....

I reviewed them and you only get about 1-1/8 inches of pad under the hydraulic rams foot. Which I feel is totally in adequate for the support of the rams to prevent motion in the camper.

I have two 4X4X10" long cedar blocks under each front ram and I place between three and four Link pads under each rear ram (4). This way the rams are extended the shortest distance on level ground and you get less movement (or bending) of the rams. I have found that when the hydraulic rams are extended to far the trailer will wiggle and bounce when you walk in the trailer. By keeping the ram short the motion is non-existence when you walk.

I don't use anything and I don't notice a problem. Try it first with nothing, if your not satisfied, Try using the pads.

Ditto

My first mod would be awning hold down polls from Turbs.

I have a cardinal but we use 3 2x12 blocks with the grain alalternating screwed together. Then we bought a stall pad from tractor supply and cut it to the same size as the block tops. Keeps the rams from extending . seems pretty solid when the dogs are jumping around inside.
Stall pad is made from recycled tires and helps take out some of the pop and crack that happens with temperature changes.

4x6. Light once they dry out, and can stack them to keep leg extension to a minimum.

Hoss pads

I use Hoss pads under mine. Bought them on Amazon. They are made from recycled rubber. I bought these before Snap pads were available. If I had to do it again I would go with the Snap pads.

Feet

Lynx levelers with lynx pads on top. Easy to use, easy to clean, cheap to replace if lost.
